About AI Ready Ohio

From AI Ready
to AI Enabled.

Made in Ohio.

AI Ready Ohio helps Ohioans, Ohio businesses, and Ohio communities put AI to work through workshops, cohorts, and industry-recognized certifications. Championed by JobsOhio and the Enterprise Technology Association. Powered by a coalition of community partners across all of Ohio.

01

How It Started

Ohio has long been a state of builders. Manufacturing. Aerospace. Logistics. Research. The work that powers America happens here. As AI began reshaping every industry, it became clear: Ohio needed a coordinated, statewide answer to a generational shift.

In partnership with JobsOhio, the Enterprise Technology Association launched AI Ready Ohio to deliver that answer. Not as a campaign or a slogan, but as a working program. The first state-level AI Ready State initiative in the country.

The program started in three regional hubs: Greater Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo. Each hub anchored by leading Ohio universities and research institutions. From day one, the model was clear: meet Ohioans where they are, deliver real workforce development, and build a coalition strong enough to drive measurable impact for Ohio residents, business, and communities.

In 2026, the program went statewide. More than 3,300 Ohioans have started their AI upskilling journey, online and in person.

What's Next

Four hubs are active: Greater Cincinnati, Columbus, Toledo, and Cleveland. Dayton, Akron/Canton, and Youngstown are forming. By the time AI Ready Ohio is at full statewide scale, every Ohioan in every region will have access to the program.

In 2027, every pillar expands: more online learning, new certification pathways, more Ohio AI Accelerator cohorts, and statewide AI advisory and leadership convenings. More is coming soon.
