Built for
every Ohioan.

AI Ready Ohio is for everyone in the state, including people with disabilities. Here is what we do to make this site usable, where we still fall short, and how to tell us about a barrier.

Our commitment

The Enterprise Technology Association (ETA) runs AI Ready Ohio and is committed to making aireadyohio.org usable by as many people as possible. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new tab) at Level AA across the site, and we check new pages and features against that standard before they ship.

Many of our partners are counties, cities, school systems and other public bodies. For them, our target of WCAG 2.2 AA also covers WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the technical standard in the U.S. Department of Justice's 2024 rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We aim to align with that standard. This statement describes our goals and practices; it is not a legal certification of conformance.

What you'll find on this site

  • Display settings.Use the "Display" button in the site header to make text larger, turn on high contrast, and reduce motion. Your choice is remembered on this device. We also follow your device's reduced-motion setting.
  • Keyboard access. Every link, button, form and menu works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline. Pop-up windows keep focus inside until you close them with Escape or the Close button.
  • Skip link.Press Tab once on any page to reveal "Skip to main content" and jump past the navigation.
  • Screen reader support. Pages use headings, landmarks and labeled form fields; error messages are announced and receive focus; images have text alternatives; and moving content, like the news ticker, can be paused.
  • Readable color and text. Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG contrast minimums, and pages reflow when you zoom to 200% or more.
  • Forms that help you. Fields support browser autofill and tell you which are required.
  • Spanish pages. Key program information and the Get Started form are available in Spanish: AI Ready Ohio en español.
  • Certificates. Certificate PDFs include a text version of the recipient, credential, issue date, issuer and a verification link, so screen readers can read them.

Known limitations

We are still working on these areas:

  • Some PDFs and older pages. Some downloadable documents and older pages were made before our current review and may not be fully tagged or structured. If you need one in another format, ask and we will provide it.
  • Partner and third-party content.Event listings, job postings, training courses and links come from partners and outside sites we don't control. Registration pages, video players, maps and other embedded or linked services may not meet the same standard.
  • Embedded events calendar. The calendar's list view is the most accessible way to browse events and is the default; the month grid is a visual summary of the same events.
  • Ongoing review. We test with automated tools on every change and with keyboard and screen reader checks before launches, and we fix what we find. New issues can still slip through, so please tell us.
